GADA Congratulates Dr. Maral Ouzounian, New Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery, UHN, Toronto

Congratulations to Dr. Maral Ouzounian for her recent appointment as the new Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network in Toronto, Ontario.

Dr. Ouzounian is the Chair of GADA Canada’s Professional Advisory Board and we work together to promote, develop and establish numerous aortic research programs. Dr. Ouzounian’s focus on improving surgical care and outcomes for those with aortic disease and those with genetic aortic disorders is essential to the long-term health of patients.

Dr. Maral Ouzounian, Cardiovascular Surgeon, named Chair of Professional Advisory Board

The Genetic Aortic Disorders Association Canada (GADA Canada) is pleased to announce that Dr. Maral Ouzounian, MD, PhD, FRCSC, is the newly appointed Chair of its Professional Advisory Board. Dr. Ouzounian, who has served on the Professional Advisory Board since 2015, is a cardiac and aortic surgeon at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Ouzounian replaces Dr. Dianna Milewicz, MD, PhD, University of Texas Medical School at Houston, who served as Chair of the Professional Advisory Board since 2012.
