2011 CMA Research Grant Recipient - September 23, 2011
The Canadian Marfan Association is proud to announce the recipient of the 2011 Research Grant competition funded by The Temerty Family Foundation. Julie De Backer, MD, PhD, from the Centre of Medical Genetics Ghent (CMGG) for the study titled Pathophysiological and pharmacological study of left ventricular dysfunction in a mouse model of Marfan syndrome will receive $50,000 in funding. We wish Dr. De Backer and her team success on their upcoming project.
We thank The Temerty Family Foundation for their continous support in helping us acheive our mission in fostering research and imporving the quality of life for Marfan and related connective tissue and cardiovascular disorder patients.
